MECHANIC POSITION

The New Castle Area Transit Authority is seeking a First Class Mechanic to service its fleet. The successful applicant will have a sound overall knowledge of vehicle operations,

diesel experience, with air conditioning and electronic skills. In addition, the following qualifications must be met:

 

§  C.D.L. Class A or B

§  PA State Inspection License

§  Appropriate hand tools and tool box

§  High School diploma or GED equivalent

§  20 years of age

§  Acceptable driving record

§  2 years as a bus or truck mechanic

§  No motor violations for at least 3 years

§  No felony convictions

§  Be physically  capable to perform the essential job

 

      A complete benefit package included. Work shifts include evenings, night turns and Saturdays.

 

The NCATA will send for and review Driver Records, Criminal History and Child Abuse History Clearance. Physicals and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing will be given. Applicants will be required to comply with all other applicable qualifications for employment established by the Authority, including the completion of an application before an interview.

 

Applications can be picked up June 10th, 11th and 12, 2008 at the New Castle Area Transit Authority, 311 Mahoning Avenue, New Castle, PA, 16102 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

OFFICE ASSISTANT/CLERICAL POSITION

The New Castle Area Transit Authority is seeking a full time Office Assistant/Clerical Position. This position includes benefits.

Skills necessary for this position:

  • Computer Skills: Must be skilled in the use of MS Office 2003 or later, particularly Excel and Word, and have the ability to us Office Power Point and email.

  • Organizational Skills: Maintain records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, color coding and updating.

  •  Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner.

 

Applications can be picked up June 23rd, 25th or 27th of 2008 at the New Castle Area Transit Authority Office, 311 Mahoning Avenue, New Castle, PA 16102 between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.
